Dates are a delicious, healthy way to sweeten your treats! They’re packed with vitamins and minerals, and I recently read that they can help promote healthy birthing for pregnant women. They’re good for digestion and are high in iron, which is helpful for those with anemia. Of course, dates are high in sugar, so should be eaten in moderation, especially if you have diabetes. I like to combine them with healthy fats, because that helps slow down the sugar absorption and lower the glycemic value. If you want to know more about dates, check out this article!
