Berry Mint Yogurt Smoothie

Jim bought me a Nutribullet as an early birthday present, and I am having so much fun with it!!! We had the Ninja before, but it didn’t make smoothies very smooth…and no one wants a fruity smoothie with chunks of broccoli floating around in it!!! Ew! The Nutribullet
breaks down the fruits and veggies really well, which means it not only tastes better, but you get more nutrients out of it! By the way, we bought the more expensive one, because it comes with an attachment that blends and heats soups and hot drinks for you. Awesome, right!? This Berry Mint Yogurt Smoothie, made with Plain Chobani Greek Yogurt, is my favorite concoction we’ve made so far with our new blender. It’s refreshing, delicious, and very good for you!
The yogurt, ginger, and mint in this smoothie are all full of nutrients that aid your digestive system. Yogurt has probiotics in it, that help your intestines break down food. Plain yogurt is the best kind, because it is low in sugar. Sugar messes up your digestive system by feeding yeast, which competes for territory with the probiotics. Ginger aids digestion by toning the muscles in your intestines. It also relaxes your system and is anti-inflammatory, which can help clear out waste and relieve bloating. Mint works in a similar way as ginger. A word of warning with mint, though: do some research if you have upper digestive problems, because it can also make heartburn worse in some people.
