Gingerbread Smoothie

Gingerbread Smoothies are healthy and delicious!  They taste like a Christmasy milkshake!  You’ll never know how many healthy nutrients are in there by the flavor.

If you read my post on gluten free gingerbread, you may remember that molasses are actually a great sweetener option for diabetics!

I know this looks like a lot of ingredients, but you certainly do not have to use them all.  I think this combination tastes the best, and offers the most health benefits.  For example, by using walnuts alongside the pecans you add extra flavor and omega-3 fats, which will help balance out the omega-6s in the pecans.

Gingerbread Smoothie
If you want this consistency add extra ice. You may also need an extra date so that the ice doesn’t dilute the flavor too much.

Serves 1

Place all of the ingredients for the Gingerbread Smoothie in your blender and blend until smooth.  If the flavor is a little too strong for you, or you want it to be thicker, try adding more ice.  You can also add a little coconut cream to make it creamier.  Enjoy for breakfast, snack, or dessert!
